Good MorningOptimistic equities traders pushed the major indices to new highs on Monday. The move comes just days after another $1.9 in economic stimulus measures were signed into law and may foreshadow bigger moves to come. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, Dow Transportation Average, and S&P 500 all set new all-time highs while the NASDAQ Composite continues to lag.
This week could bring another round of volatility to the market with not one but three major central bank meetings and a raft of economic data due out. Among the central-bank meetings are key decisions from the BOJ, BOE, and the FOMC. None are expected to alter policy but any could raise fear of inflation with their statements and outlook. An increase of expectation the FOMC will begin to take a hawkish stance could send the equities markets plunging.
